Brescia, Italy, and Rockford Illinois – Two long-established and widely respected manufacturers of Camozzi Group, Innse-Berardi based in Brescia and Ingersoll Machine Tools based in Rockford Illinois, partnered to share their resources and successful records of excellence in the aerospace, defense, heavy mechanical engineering, energy, naval, nuclear, mining and railway sectors. Ingersoll is a center of competence for additive manufacturing, composites manufacturing and aerospace, while Innse-Berardi is a center of competence for the general mechanical engineering.

MasterPrint®, the world’s largest thermoplastic 3D-printer, is the flagship of Camozzi Machine Tools (CMT). This solution, integrating a 5-axis milling head for finishing operations, offers fast, reliable and cost-effective performances, reducing lead time and cutting production costs up to 75%.

CMT MasterPrint can also add composite manufacturing capabilities too to its subtractive and additive modules, with its Mongoose and Hawk carbon fiber delivery systems

PowerMax is a large format, 5+ axes, horizontal platform for high-accuracy and high-feed rate aluminum and titanium milling. PowerMax offers significant innovations such as its digital simulation and digital twin.

To guarantee the best machine rigidity, PowerMax is equipped with a moving column, which in turn houses the tool head wagon, moving along four rails, two in the lower base and two in the rear vertical structure. The classic ram shaft is replaced with an external pallet rack or a table with twisting and linear movement to ensure high and constant levels of stock removal, dynamics, and accuracy

An example of a 3D printed product is being displayed at EMO 2021, the main European trade fair for the machine tools industry in Milan Oct. 4-8, 2021, an aircraft winglet produced on MasterPrintmachine. Some aerospace parts manufactured by PowerMax will also be displayed at the booth (Hall 13, Stand F04-F06).

MasterPrintand PowerMax are operational at the Camozzi Advanced Manufacturing center (CAM) in Milan.
