SOUTHWICK — Two educators at Southwick schools received Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Awards on Monday morning to honor their work with students over the last year.

Powder Mill School fifth grade teacher Emma Rood and Southwick Regional School adjustment counselor Shannon Dion were this year’s recipients of the Grinspoon Award for the Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional School District. Two ceremonies were held for Rood and Dion at each school, and the district brought a little flair for the celebrations.
