The coffee will be hot, the doughnuts sweet and the entertainment on point at the West Side Senior Expo, coming back on Wednesday, July 27, after a two-year absence.

Sponsored by Leader Publications, the event is slated for 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 27, at Northwest High School, 6005 Cedar Hill Road, near Hwy. 30 in Cedar Hill.

Admission is free, and seniors from throughout Jefferson County and surrounding areas are invited.

Vendors will be on hand throughout the morning with a wide variety of goods and services of interest to seniors. Many will offer giveaways and drawings for free items. Smart attendees will bring pre-printed address labels to save time and effort when entering drawings, filling out forms or requesting information.

Throughout the morning, Leader social media maven Katelyn Mary Skaggs will host a hands-on technology help desk, assisted by a swarm of high school students. They will help seniors with social media and other technology needs.

Visitors to the expo are encouraged to head to the Leader Publications booth to enter a drawing for a grand-prize trip to Branson, courtesy of the Branson Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Johnny Morris Foundation.

The winner and three guests will enjoy two nights at the Hilton of Branson, tickets to illusionist Rick Thomas’ “Mansion of Dreams” show and passes to enjoy Branson Jet Boats, Track Family Fun Park and the Branson Ferris Wheel.
